The Ramblers would be the most obvious answer to your question. I think they have different groups for different levels of walker (which is very important). You'd probably be best to find a group based near you - that way you can share cars etc. There's probably a Ramblers web site, but I'll let you find that for yourself!

Hi Tutter;
You have probably found the information you needed by now but just in case you haven't;

Greystones Ramblers
17 Beechwood Dr.
Greystones
County Wicklow
Tel. 961-452377

You will enjoy every minute of the walks. I wish I could join them too.
God Bless

Thanks Spirit Friend. I shall look into all options. Just need to get all the gear, have boots and rain gear. An looking forward to battling the Irish weather. I gather from your sentiment that you have been an avid walker..

Hi Tutter;
My heart was left in Ireland many years ago when I had to return to the States after living 8 years in Bray and Greystones. The County Wicklow is the most beautiful area of Ireland, and the sunniest.
Be sure to go to Glendalough, it is a very beautiful and mystical area. I could stay there by the twin lakes forever and be in heaven without dying.
The Powerscourt demense and gardens is another 'must see'. As with any costal area in the world, Irelands seacoast is very beautiful, everywhere in Ireland.
Have a great time on the cliff walk between Bray and Greystones. It's awesome.
Should you come across my heart, just leave it, it has no desire to return here ever again.
Blessing

Indeed, it is a nice spot... but I have never hiked it. My family actually originally came from Wicklow, but alas we have no strong connections there now, not too late to dust off the cobwebs. Thganks for your help.
