Kilcoole

Kilcoole (Cill Chomhaill in Irish), is a village 3 km south of Greystones and 25 km south of Dublin, in County Wicklow, Republic of Ireland. It was used as the set for the successful Irish television series 'Glenroe', which ran during the 1980s & 1990s. The village is currently expanding rapidly and is a |dormitory town]] for many workers commuting to Dublin and Bray. An area of marshland runs along the coast at kilcoole called "the Murragh". The Murragh is home to many endangered species of plant and animal. The beach in Kilcool is the summer time home of The Little Tern. It is one of the only places in Ireland that the Little Terns nest in. Druids Glen Golf course is located close by on the Newtown road (Famous for Hosting the Irish open golf)
